blooggy.com Independent network

Who we are

blooggy.com is a curated directory of independent blogs and niche content sites (the “network”). The directory does not host the listed sites; it links to them. Each listed site is operated independently and has its own owner, content policies, and privacy practices.

What this directory does

The apex directory exists to help readers discover independent sites worth reading. We list each public site with its title, description, and topic, and surface recent articles from across the network. Browsing the directory does not require an account.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, sign up, or share personal contact details to use this directory. However, when you visit any web page, certain information is necessarily processed by web servers, analytics tools, and advertising partners. That can include:

  • your IP address and approximate location (typically inferred to country / region level by analytics providers);
  • browser and device information (user-agent, screen size, language, operating system);
  • pages you viewed, the order you viewed them in, and how long you stayed;
  • the page that referred you to us, if any;
  • cookies and similar identifiers set by us or our partners (see Cookies).

Server logs and technical data

Our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure keeps standard server logs for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. Logs typically include IP address, timestamp, request URL, response status, and user-agent string. They are not used to build long-term profiles of individual visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site behaviour, performance measurement, and to support advertising partners. The full list of categories and how to control them is on the Cookies page.

Advertising and analytics

This directory implements Google Consent Mode v2. On your first visit we deny all non-essential signals by default - advertising and analytics partners only get a "granted" signal once you explicitly opt in via the cookie banner. You can change your choices any time on the cookies page.

The active advertising partner is Google AdSense. When you grant advertising consent, AdSense may set cookies and use device/browser data to serve and measure ads, including:

  • delivering relevant ads (contextual or, depending on configuration, personalised);
  • measuring ad performance and conversions;
  • preventing fraud and limiting how often the same ad is shown.

You can review and adjust how Google personalises ads at any time via Google Ads Settings. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google — How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

If we add additional analytics or advertising partners in future, we will update this page and the Cookies page accordingly.

The directory links to many independent third-party sites. Once you click through to one of those sites, you are interacting with that site's operator under that site's privacy policy — not ours. We do not control, and are not responsible for, what those independent sites do with your information.

Data retention

Server logs are kept only as long as necessary for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the policies of the providers we use; please refer to those providers for specifics.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data — including the right to access, correct, restrict, or object to processing, and (where applicable) to withdraw consent. Because this directory does not require an account and does not process directly-submitted personal data, in most cases the relevant rights are best exercised against the analytics and advertising providers themselves (e.g. via Google Ads Settings) and against the listed independent sites under their own policies.

Children's privacy

This directory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through any tool that lists or links to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page; continued use of the directory after the change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

Contact

For questions about this policy, please use the contact details on individual sites in the directory or the support address for blooggy.com once one is published. This page will be updated when a public contact route is provisioned.
